Kenya is on East Africa Time (UTC+3) all year. The forex market runs from Monday morning to Saturday morning in Kenya, and the busiest hours fall in the Kenyan afternoon.

  • Tokyo session opens at about 03:00 EAT.
  • London session opens at 10:00 EAT from late March to late October, and 11:00 EAT the rest of the year (the UK changes its clocks, Kenya does not).
  • New York session opens at 15:00 EAT from mid March to early November, and 16:00 EAT the rest of the year.
  • London and New York overlap from about 15:00 to 19:00 EAT, when the major pairs usually move most.
